JULY - 03
 20th Asian Athletics Championship begins in Pune on 3rd July.
→ 577 athletics from 43 countries out of 45 members in Asian Athletics Association to participate.
 Top seeded Indian Grand Master Parimarjan Negi won the Continental Chess Association open title, his third of the season after pipping his nearest rival Bindi Cheng (Canada) by 1.5 points in Washington.
JULY - 04
 As a host, Brazil convincingly defeated world champion Spain 3 - 0 to win the Confederations Cup.

 World Soccer body FIFA on 3rd July 2013 again banned Iraq from holding any friendly football matches due to soaring violence.

 Parvez Rasool the first from Jammu & Kashmir team in India Cricket Squad.
JULY - 07
 On July India clinched a gold medal in women’s 400 m relay in a sensational race.
→ India ended the championship with two golds, five silver and 10 bronze (2 + 5 + 10 = 17).
→ China finished at the top spot with 16 golds, 6 silvers and 5 bronze (16 + 6 + 5 = 27).
 On 7th July Red Bull’s Sebestian Vettel won the German Grand Prix title.

JULY - 08
 Andy Murray on 7th July 2013 defeated Novak Djokovic in straight sets 6 - 4, 7 - 5, 6 - 4 at centre court of London to become the first Briton in 77 years to win the Men’s singles title at Wimbledon - 2013.
 Rohan Bopanna became the highest - ranked Indian in the world, as he achieved the career best rank of five in the ATP doubles.

→ Federer ranked number five for first time in a decade.

 Indian woman shooter Lajja Goswami has bagged a silver medal in 50 meter Rifle three position in ISSF, World Shooting Championship in Spain.
 Shiva Thapa reaffirmed his status as the rising star of Indian boxing as he became the youngest pugilist to clinch a gold medal in the 56 kg category at the Asian Championships in Amman, Jordan.

 The South Asian Junior Table Tennis Championship began at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi.
 American Swimmer Haley Anderson won 5 km open water race to take the first gold medal of the Swimming World Championship.
JULY - 21
 Devendra Jhajharia became the first differently abled Indian to win a gold at the IPC Athletics World Championships by winning the Javelian throw at the sixth edition of the event in Lyon, France.
JULY - 22
 Purav Raja and Divij Sharan of India on 20th July 2013 clinched their first ever ATP tour doubles titles by defeating Edouard Roger - Vasselin of France and Igor Sijsling of the Netherlands in the final match of Claro Open in Bogota, Colombia.
 Serena Williams on 21st July 2013 won Swedish Open title by defeating Johanna Larsson in the final of the Swedish Open at Bastad in Sweden.
 India finished at fourth position in the Archery World Cup stage 3 on 21st July 2013, with Deepika Kumari winning a gold and a bronze medal on the concluding day of Archery World Cup Stage 3 in Medellin, Colombia.
