The Indian Centre for CSR (ICCSR) has collaborated with the University of Applied Sciences, Vienna, Austria, to offer India's first Master of Science program in CSR & ethical management. The program will bridge the gap that exists in the country for trained CSR Managers in the corporate world. The new Companies Act makes it mandatory for Indian companies to spend 2 per cent of their profits on CSR related activities, which is likely to create need for trained managers in CSR and sustainability. The Centre is currently accepting applications for its first batch scheduled to start on 30 September 2013.(Source: The Times of India)
